Process of selection, evaluation and publication of articles

Article Selection

Each article received will undergo an initial evaluation to verify the journal's guidelines: scope/topic, format, structure, and readability. If the manuscript is not within the journal's scope, it will be returned to the author.

Peer Review

All articles must undergo blind peer review, which consists of:

Review of the manuscript by two or three reviewers.
The editor compiles the comments and sends them to the author.
Based on the reviewers' comments, the editor decides whether to publish the manuscript.
When an article receives opposing reviews, both positive and negative, the editor may request additional reviews from other reviewers, and a final decision will be made based on all the reviews.

The entire evaluation is conducted using a double-blind process; that is, the authors do not know who their reviewers are, nor do the reviewers know the authors of the article.

Article evaluation is graded based on the following parameters:

Article Novelty
Reference list adequate to support the research
Technical Content
Results consistent with the objectives
Quality of figures and tables
Quality of writing

After peer review, articles can be categorized as:

Accept Submission: The article is accepted by the reviewers.
Revisions Needed: The article requires minor corrections before being accepted (format changes).
Resubmit for Review: The article requires major corrections before being accepted (substantive or content changes).
Reject Submission: The article is rejected.

In the cases of "Revisions Needed" and "Resubmit for Review," articles will be sent back to their authors for the appropriate formatting and substantive corrections suggested by the reviewers.

Corrections made by the authors must be detailed in a response letter to the reviewers, as well as noted in the document returned to the journal, in order to facilitate the peer review process.

Publication

Subsequently, the articles will undergo a final review by the Editorial Committee, who will verify that all authors have the information requested at the time of submission (ORCID, short biography, photograph, and contact email), and will assess the quality of the articles. If new comments are made, the articles will be sent back to the authors for the respective corrections.

Finally, once approved, the articles undergo a review of format, style, and language.
