Abstract

One of the great concerns of both employers and researchers is the well-being of workers, since this directly impacts the competitiveness and productivity of organizations. The objective of this research is to determine the perception of psychological well-being of taxi drivers in the municipality of Durango. The study is quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional, correlational and non-experimental. The subjects of this study are the drivers of a taxi base in the municipality of Durango. The census sample of fifty-eight drivers was used, applying a Psychological Well-being at Work questionnaire adapted from Dagenais-Desmarais et al (2012), with a reliability of Cronbach's Alpha 0.88, composed of 25 questions divided into five dimensions 1. Interpersonal adjustment at work, 2. Job prosperity, 3. Feeling of competence at work, 4. Perceived recognition, 5. Desire for participation at work. The results indicate that there is an important impact of job prosperity on competence at work, since a Spearman Rho correlation of 0.883 was obtained. Likewise, perceived recognition at work influences participation at work, since a Spearman Rho correlation of 0.782 was found. It is concluded that the level of psychological well-being at work is good, since the answers to the questions of the dimensions analyzed were classified in the range of 41% to 60%, which defines the level of psychological well-being at work as good
