Abstract

This article proposes a theoretical contribution to social philosophy and the ontology of the contemporary subject through the formulation of a Theory of Systemic Chaos. Starting with a hermeneutic-critical analysis of the Cheshire Cat narrative archetype, understood as a figure of selective disappearance and non-directive guidance, it examines how subjectivity preserves the coherence of its identity project and its moral agency in scenarios of high normative entropy. These contexts are characterized by the crisis of legitimizing metanarratives and the fragmentation of collective structures of meaning. The research adopts a qualitative methodology rooted in Critical Theory, combining hermeneutic-symbolic analysis with contributions from the sociology of liquid modernity, psychopolitics, and the critique of instrumental reason. The study identifies two dimensions of Fluid Systemic Consciousness: the ontology of modulated presence, associated with strategic vanishing, and negative teleology, understood as an orientation without a closed purpose. It is concluded that the ontological resilience of the subject does not depend on achieving an external telos, but on preserving the integrity of its core identity while the institutional structures that previously sustained it fade away, in contexts marked by volatility, uncertainty and non-linearity of the contemporary global social order.
